This package include:
- FSTS21.DOC (This file)
- FSTS.EXE (Full Screen Task Switcher)
- KBDHK.DLL (DLL used to hook into PM)
- FSTSDOS.COM (FSTS DOS support)
If anything is missing you cannot continue and you are advised to
contact the source that brought you this incomplete package.
FSTS is a program that makes switching from one full screen (OS/2 or DOS)
to another a snap (By the touch of a single key!)
FSTS installs itself in the PM session, all OS/2 full screen sessions and
optionally DOS sessions.
FSTS monitors the keyboard for certain HOT-KEYS.
The following HOT-KEYS is recognized by FSTS:
<left-ctrl> + <left-alt> : Brings up FSTS menu for selection
between the available full screens.
<left-ctrl> + <1> to <9> : Selects a specifik session
<1> is the first started
<2> is the second started
<3> is the ...
<left-ctrl> + <0> : Session intro mode.
Shows you each full screen session
for about 1.5 sec.
To select a session press any key.
Installation:
-------------
Copy KBDHK.DLL to x:\OS2\DLL
where x: is the drive where OS/2 is installed.
To install FSTS type:
detach FSTS <x:>
where x: is the drive where OS/2 is installed. (default is C:)
If you want FSTS support from DOS sessions the program: FSTSDOS must
be installed in each session.
The easy way is to put FSTSDOS into your autoexec.bat.
Please note that FSTS is currently not able to operate within WIN-OS2
sessions. This limitation will soon be removed.
You are now ready to task switch the easy way!
UnInstallation:
---------------
A lean-and-mean uninstall feature is available when the FSTS task-list
is activated, press <shift>+<U>. This will remove FSTS in all OS/2
full screen sessions.
Currently no support for removing FSTSDOS from memory exists.
This program is FREE OF CHARGE, but
IF you like it why not send a postcard
to the author with your comments.
Or use compuserve (100117,1014).
This kind of response will give me an
indication of how many
people that find such
tools as FSTS usefull.
